...and I encourage you to do the same. In general, people are pretty decent and there's an exciting world waiting for you.
This is one of my favorite shots. Good friend Sarah West took it when I passed through London on my way back to the U.S. after a German seminar tour.

Who could resist taking a photo with such a gorgeous animal? My wife would say at this point, "And the horse he's sitting on, too!"

It also goes to show that H.R.H. Palace Guards have not only a finely tuned sense of humor but also extremely good dressage skills. (That's the ability to direct a horse with tiny, subtle movements.)

Central London is rather compact because we easily walked from Trafalgar Square (left) to Parliament (Big Ben clock in background) in less than 15 minutes. Along the way one of the few remaining red telephone kiosks, kept there for the visitors, was a natural. Surprisingly, it was lined with dozens of business cards advertising, um, specialty entertainment. At day's end Sarah (she's the one in the middle) and I joined Faye Presto (an English Magic performer) at a lovely restaurant called The Ivy.
